Lynx (Lynx lynx)

Lynx has been in Sweden since the ice age. Today we have 1000-1500 hundred lynx in Sweden.

You can find Lynx in big parts of  the northern hemisphere, divided in three subspecies. Spanish lynx ( Spain, Portugal)
Canadian Lynx (North America) 
European lynx (Europe and asia).

Characteristic:
The tail has a with black tip, the ears has white spots. You can also easily se white lines around the eye.

Besides that, the lynx have scent gland as a complement to  the territorial urinateing

Food: A grown-up lynx can eat up to 1 kilo meat each day. The most common food source for lynx in Sweden is hare and roe deer.

Belong to: Order Predator (Carnivora) Family Cats (Felidae)

Weight:
Between 20 - 35 kilo for the male and between 15 - 25 kilo for the female.

Age:
Up to 20 year

Mating season: Mars

Lynx kitten: The kitten is born in May- June; often 2 - 3 kitten. They are blind at birth and weights about 0.3 kilo
